Maybe this sounds familiar

“I haven’t slept properly in months and I don’t know if that’s normal any more.”

“I speak English all day, but I can’t cry in English.”

“I’ve built a life here and I still feel like I’m passing through.”

“I have friends here, but no one to talk to about this in my own language.”

How I work

I work from an integrative approach: what you bring sets the direction, not a manual. The first sessions are for understanding what is going on, how long it has been there, and what you would want to be different.

Most of the people I see live far from where they grew up.

Moving country changes things you cannot always name in the new language.

Part of the work is having somewhere to say them in your own.

FrequencyWeekly or fortnightly

Individual therapy

Fifty-minute sessions, online, in Spanish or English. For anxiety, grief, loneliness, life changes and whatever else comes up along the way.

Support through migration

For anyone who built a life in another country and still feels like a visitor — the grief of leaving your place, the shock of starting over, the loneliness of having no one to say it to in your own language. I work with Latin American migrants in Europe and the United States, and with foreigners living in Ecuador.

What the first session is like

1

You get in touch

You message me on WhatsApp and we find a time that works for you. You are writing to me, not to a form.

2

We talk for 50 minutes

No forms or questionnaires beforehand. You tell me what you want to tell me, at whatever pace you can.

3

You decide whether to go on

At the end I tell you how I see the work, and you decide. There is no commitment to continue.

How do I book a first session?

You message me on WhatsApp and we find a time that works for you. There's no form or booking platform.

How much does a session cost?

We talk about it on WhatsApp. I'd rather explain the options directly before you decide.

What time zone do we schedule in?

Yours, not Quito's. If you live elsewhere, we find a time that works for you.

Is what we talk about confidential?

Yes. See the privacy notice for the detail, including the few legal exceptions.

What if I'm having an emergency?

This site and these sessions are not an emergency service. In a crisis, call 911 in Ecuador or your country's emergency number.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Couples therapy can be in person in Quito or online. Individual therapy and migration-focused counseling are online.

Shall we begin?

Message me on WhatsApp and we will arrange a first session. You will be writing to me, not to a form.
