How we handle your information when you visit this site or write to Paula.
Last updated: September 3, 2026.
There's no contact form on this site. To reach Paula you use WhatsApp or your own email, both of which open outside this site. Those conversations live in your WhatsApp and your inbox, not in a database here.
No contact form, no account, no cart. Apart from the help chat described below, this site doesn't store your name, email, or any other personal data.
Like any website, the host (Vercel Inc.) logs basic technical data for each visit — IP address, browser, pages viewed — for security and operational reasons. We don't use those logs to identify or profile you.
There's a chat in the corner of the screen that answers practical questions: what the sessions involve, how long they last, which languages, how to book. It's handled by an automated assistant, not by Paula. It never pretends to be her, and it gives no clinical guidance of any kind.
What you type there is stored, so Paula can read it and get back to you: the text of the conversation, the date, and an anonymous identifier kept in your browser so the same conversation is recognised if you return. If you share your WhatsApp number to continue there, that's stored too. Your name isn't stored unless you type it.
The data is hosted on Supabase (servers in the United States) and the text is processed by Anthropic to generate the reply. None of it is used for advertising or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Don't use the chat to tell what you'd bring to therapy. It isn't needed to book and it isn't the place. If you start, the assistant will suggest you talk it through with Paula directly. It's also not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911 in Ecuador or your country's emergency number.
You can ask for your conversation to be deleted by writing to Paula. It's removed, no explanation needed.
What you say in session is protected by professional confidentiality. Paula doesn't share session content with anyone, except in the cases professional ethics and the law require: serious risk to your life or someone else's, suspected abuse of a minor, or a court order. This is separate from how this website handles data, and it applies once therapy begins, not before.
Under Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP), you can exercise these rights over any personal data you've given us directly (for example, by WhatsApp or email):
To exercise any of these, write to contacto@mpvaldivieso.com. If you're not satisfied with the response, you can file a complaint with Ecuador's data protection authority, the Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales (spdp.gob.ec).
This site isn't directed at minors. If Paula works with a minor, confidentiality and consent are agreed directly with her, not through this website.
We may update this notice if how the site works changes — for example, if a contact form is added later. The date above always reflects the latest version.
